About Me

Hi, I’m Rhiannon
Shaw

And I’m a creative, professional writer and comedian from Wolverhampton.

I was born in London but my first memories are of living in Virginia. In fact, I had an American accent for most of my childhood and you can still hear the twang.

We moved to Wolverhampton when I was 11 and it’s where my Dad was from – so, home. As a teenager I was into 70s music, British comedy panel shows, foreign films and, of course, Taylor Swift. Plus ça change…

I went to the University of Cambridge in 2014, where I was active in the Cambridge drama scene and became a member of the Footlights. In my final year, I wrote and directed a version of Wilde’s Lady Windermere’s Fan which we took across China, South Korea and Japan. The happiest time of my life.

Now I live in London with my fiancé and my cat, Branflake. I’m getting married in 2023, but I’ll be keeping my name (I’ve already bought out the domain for the rest of the year, so might as well.)
